A night with Ruffino
Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending Ruffino's Chicago al Fresco Wine Experience. It was the best event I've attended in years. My date, Jen, accompanied me to a mixology class led by Chef Tony Priolo (of Chicago’s Piccolo Sogno) followed by a four-course dinner and cocktail hour at Chicago's gorgeous A New Leaf.
Truth is, I don't think Jen nor I should quit our day jobs. Basically we suck at crafting cocktails but we sure had fun mixing it up!
A New Leaf is such a beautiful setting for events. Literally, every corner we turned awaited a photo opp. And yes, we were those annoying bloggers taking pictures all night.
Can we just talk about these adorable Prosecco flutes? They're brilliantly designed as they have a thumb grip on the back making it the ideal stemware for lounging at the pool or even hosting a bridal shower. As a parting gift, each of us received a 4-pack with the below cocktail handbook housing 1500 craft cocktail recipes. To say I was excited would be an understatement.
P/S Ruffino Prosecco is a delicious, crisp bubbly beverage that you can find at your local grocery store. My store retails it for $12.99 making it my new go-to for Mimosa Sunday.
What? Like you don't celebrate at your house?

It’s time to come out of hibernation. While January has been cold and gray, I’ve uncovered an amazing, suburban exhibition that is worth leaving the house for…and it’s only here through the end of March 2024. You must get tickets to the Downton Abbey Exhibition located at Old Orchard Mall in Skokie. It’s open weekly from Wednesday-Sunday.
