5 trendy tops you need in your arsenal.

5 Fall Blouses.jpg

Last time we talked about six trousers you need to acquire for Fall and today is all about five must-have blouses to pair with them! This season is all about the details - think embellishments and texture. The great news is there are so many amazing cuts and shapes...truly a blouse for every body type and the five I chose actually work for everyone.

While I love a graphic tee, truth is you need something for meetings and fancy dinners. Something sophisticated that can transform a simple pair of denim or trousers into a chic ensemble.

Without further ado:

One | Rails: It's a necessity to have a classic plaid in your closet. Almost a sin not to. Rails is known for their cozy plaid prints in a spectrum of colors. I am a weekend plaid-a-holic but recently I've seen them paired with a simple pencil skirt and I LOVE the juxtaposition of this look.

Two | Clover Canyon:  Prints are all over the runways and they aren't going away for Spring either. Clover Canyon kills it in the vibrant print department and you won't see yourself coming and going. I love the sheer quality of their tops, too!

Three | alice + olivia: Crop it like it's hot, baby! Crop tops have found their real estate in Fall fashion and the look is chic in vampy colors and beautiful textures. I am obsessed with crop tops however they must be long enough to show only a smidge of skin. If you're 25 - go for it and show more skin but be sure to pair it with full coverage on the bottom. Think pants...not a mini skirt.

Four | Rebecca Taylor: Rebecca Taylor is infamous for her feminine design quality and touches. The lace blouse makes a return this Fall but the shape is more tailored and less Grandma's kitchen curtains. Sweet and dainty, you can dress up this blouse with wide leg trousers OR a pair of printed cigarette pants. Instant fashionista.

Five | Veronica Beard: Fall is synonymous with leather and it's migrated up top. A fitted, leather peplum top screams "I am on top of the trends". While some trends come and go, a classic leather blouse or tee has staying power. I love the fitted shape of this one drawing the eye to the smallest part of a woman's figure - her waist (a feature you should be proud of)! This one would look amazing with a pencil skirt. (I know, I am nuts about pencil skirts. I wear them constantly)
