Beauty 411: December's Beauty Box Five
Maybe you read my first write up on the beauty subscription service Beauty Box Five? This month snuck up on me and boy, am I glad it did! To be truthful, November and December have been ultra intense in terms of my work load so this little box serves as a welcome treat and a reminder that a little pampering goes a longgggg way!
This was my first foray into the CoolWay product line which is designed for people who beat up their hair daily by way of hot tools. That's me...raising my hand. What's even more is that these perfect, little travel sizes came at just the right time as I will be heading to LA this weekend. You just can't find high-end haircare in travel sizes that easily. My hair was soft and easy to style post usage.
I am a somewhat reformed lip gloss addict turned lipstick aficionado. However, it's been at least 4-5 years since I've bought a lip gloss. Be a Bombshell sent me a great nude gloss with high shine minus the tacky finish that some glosses leave. I see it as the perfect alternative on the weekends when a full lip is just unnecessary. Apparently this exists.
I've always loved Model co. Their products pack a punch and have serious staying power. The jet black liner in my Beauty Box fits in almost every clutch of mine with a built in sharpener. Why didn't I think of that? Perfect for the many holiday parties you have to hit up in one evening. Raccoon eyes are so yesterday.
Last but not least, the Jean Pierre facial tissues. This was my favorite product of the bunch. You can never have too many of these! They normally retail for $1.99. I carry them with me everywhere. Great for those long meeting days when you have to transition from work to dinner. And if you're a shiner like me...it's ideal because let's face it, adding another layer of makeup makes you look old and cakey.
And that's this month's treasure round up! Be sure to follow Beauty Box Five on Facebook and Twitter, too. And guess what, great stocking stuffers!
