A whimsical home is a happy home!
We like our home cozy, welcoming, and with a tidge of whimsy. And, let's face it, with a 2 year old and a 1 year old...we can't afford to take design too seriously. We don't take life too seriously either and for good reason: it's too darn short!
Today, I'm sharing three of my favorite home decor pieces that not only bring a smile to our faces but also serve a purpose. Our favorite kind!

Our footed bowl has endless uses. Produce, natch but we also display Halloween candy, {which is now gone...oops!} crayons for after-dinner coloring, prizes for good behavior - you name it. Anything vibrant in color looks delicious when housed in this bowl. How do you think we get our 2 year old to eat more fruit?!
The giraffe vase is one of my daughters' favorite conversation pieces. After every meal we go over the names of the two animals which makes washing squirmy hands a lot easier. I love it because it gives our not-so-fun dish washing accessories a little more style. And who doesn't appreciate that? Cluttered counters drive me batty. Additionally, I can throw some tulips in the lil' guy and you have a cheery multi-purpose vase!
Last but not least, my wine pairing towels are not only a favorite party accessory, they also serve as great literature while I finish my meal. I now have a handy guide of which varietals go best with our weekly dinner menus. Bonus!
Uncommon Goods is an amazing outlet for whimsical and thoughtful gifts. And, guess what darling readers? Black Friday is just 9 WEEKS away!
No worries, here are some unique holiday gift ideas whether you need a hostess gift for the many parties you'll be attending or a gift for her just for being a great friend, grandma, mom, nanny or teacher.
You'll even find a few fun things for yourself like I did! xo
