Shop it forward: Green Goddess Boutique

It was a typical work day for me...carefully balancing conference calls while squeezing in a quick errand/caffeine run with a pit stop to pick up a hostess gift for a girl's night. Sound familiar? Luckily, Lincoln Park is a hot bed for quaint boutiques when I'm in a pinch and last Wednesday was no exception.I thew my hazards on and popped into Green Goddess Boutique - pure impulse. 'Course I was averaging about 80 mph when I was punched in the face with an accessory extravaganza. After catching my breath, I made my way around the store...delicate chains, buttery Moroccan poufs, vibrant scarves, raw gemstone earrings, luxe candles...I was in heaven. Had it not been a work day...I could have spent hours in here.
I think the biggest surprise is that despite being a boutique, Green Goddess Boutique has a myriad of pricing to please everyone's wallet...not at all pretentious like it's counter parts housed on the same street. The prices were reasonable. I ended up picking a marbled compact for my hostess gift complete with an engraved octopus adorning the front. It's the kind of beautiful accessory every girl should have sitting in their boudoir.
If I could create a birthday registry...it would be here, let me tell you. {husband!} In fact, I've already been back to stare at a beaded Greek evil eye bracelet. I love their philosophy - sustainable shopping from all over the world. Vintage, green, recycled and reused -- that's what you'll find here.
"Experience The Green Goddess, where we transcend fads, understand the mix and embrace a boho sense of adventure. Leather poufs and vintage trays from Morocco. Silver inland jewelry from Tibet. Hand-woven knits from Bali. Beaded purses and scarves from India. Soy candles from Spain and so much more!"
Follow 'em on Twitter, too! This is not a sponsored post - just utter adoration for a new find walking distance from my house.
