Little library

I know I have more books somewhere but I can't seem to locate them since the move. So for now...it's the start of a little library. I was pretty ecstatic at last weekend's finds - the Foo Dog. They are made for bookshelves. I am not 100% satisfied with the look and feel of these shelves but it's a work in progress. I go back and forth between stacking books vertically by color or just a haphazard display with well placed trinkets. How have you arranged your shelves? Any tips?
