Things that make me smile...

"...Johanna has tapped into a subject that I couldn't be more thrilled to blog about....things that make me smile. It doesn't take much to make me smile...a baby's laugh....the perfect lip gloss...sunshine...vanilla latte's. However, if I were to really narrow it down it would have to be this picture. It sums up so much in just one snapshot of time. This picture was taken on my sister's wedding day in 2008 which was of course an amazing moment and was so happy for her and my brother-in-law. But this particular picture from that day just makes me smile every time I see it. A friend of mine asked to take a picture of my boyfriend and I and without saying a word to each other we both decided at the same time to be goofy and do the same exact expression. We had only been together for a short period of time and already I knew I was with the best man in the world. The fact that we did the same exact thing at the same time and could be silly and have fun with each other...it just doesn't get any better! We have been together for over two years now and have this picture framed on the wall in our house. So the thing that makes me smile is this picture and what it represents...happiness, enjoying the moment and embracing your inner dork with the one you love!"
